This is not a lecture but rather a time for HR professionals or inclusion champions to engage in thoughtful dialogue and case studies to embed diversity, equity and inclusion more effectively.

Symposiums are smaller and less formal meetings for HRAM members and the Omaha community. It is FREE to attend; however, registration is required as seating is limited.
Ashlei Spivey was born and raised in the heart of North Omaha. She attended Jackson State University, an HBCU, on a volleyball scholarship for her Bachelor’s degree in Communications, then attending University of Texas at Arlington for her Master’s program in Urban Social Planning. Ashlei has spent the last decade of her professional career working in nonprofit positions from direct service to organizational development. She recently joined Peter Kiewit Foundation as an associate program officer, the first Black woman to hold that role in the foundation’s history. Her passion and purpose are coupling social justice theories with organizational design frameworks in order to address equity and inclusion.
She launched her brand, Ay Spivey, in early 2017 which allows her to facilitate both conversations and action planning for organizations, communities and individuals around inclusion and equity frameworks. She is the founder of the Young Black & Influential Awards as well as I Be Black Girl. She also sits on the board for Omaha Summer Arts Festival. Most importantly, she is the mother of a handsome three-year-old Naasir, and guardian to her sister Yaasmyn.
